The Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) is alerting customers that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is advising people to not eat any romaine lettuce, and is advising retailers and restaurants to not serve or sell any romaine lettuce. The CDC is placing out this alert as it investigates a multi-state E. To date, 32 circumstances and 13 hospitalizations have been associated with the outbreak. Healthy people infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which can be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. The Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) and the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (RIDEM) are lifting the remaining blue-inexperienced algae advisories for bodies of water in Rhode Island.
